Taste of Spring - Sake On-nomi #43

Taste of Spring - Sake On-nomi #43
- Description
- Seasonal Selection
In Sake On-nomi #43, we have planned for something really special! 5 new brews have sprung onto our shelves and they are all saying one thing – Spring have arrived. And of course, we’ll be tasting the spring sakes together! 🍃
This time, your tasting set will include a free pair of colour-changing plum blossom sake glass– the flowers are white at room temperature and turns pink when cold sake are poured into it!
The season of spring is synonymous to new life, fresh starts and new beginnings. The image of the first blossoms of a cherry tree comes to mind. Seasonal sake made for spring also represent this atmosphere – the sakes are fresh, light, delicate and crisp.
When a brewery starts brewing sake for the new brew year, they usually hang a sugidama (Cedar Ball) outside the brewery. It starts off green, and gradually turns brown, signifying that sake is ready for sale.
These new sakes are usually released near spring-time, and mainly labelled as Shiboritate (Freshly Pressed) and Arabashiri (Free Run). You might also see the word Shinshu which means new sake.
For $48, you will receive a Sake Tasting Kit (5 x 70ml) + a free pair of colour changing sake glass (worth $25). You will also gain an exclusive access to join a live 1 hour sake appreciation session on zoom on 13th April, 8pm.
Limited seats available, while stocks last.
