For the 18th theartofsake Sake On-nomi, we are going back to our roots!

Manotsuru sake from Sado Island, Niigata, was one of the 6 original brands we started with in 2008. Niigata is one of the most famous places for sake, and they make the largest amount of super premium sake of any prefecture in Japan. Niigata people also have the very legit record of drinking the most amount of sake per pax in Japan.

Sado Island is kind of the Pulau Ubin of Japan. Around the same size as Singapore, there used to be a gold mine on the island. Currently they are famous for their agriculture, as well as the conservation park for the beautiful but endangered Toki (Crested Ibis).

Manotsuru Sake is made by Obata Shuzo, and the brewery was founded in 1892. Their owner, Rumiko Obata, is the 5th generation owner, and is responsible for the brewery's international appeal.

Rumiko will be joining our onnomi session, so please feel free to ask her more about her sake.

Your Sake On-nomi set will include a sake tasting flight of 5 x 80ml bottles and a placemat containing sake tasting notes and Zoom details.

The tasting set will be available at S$45/-. Full Bottle Tasting Set will be available for $398 (Original Price $490) you can purchase them here!

The Zoom Live Video Conference for the Sake On-nomi will be held on Wednesday, 9 December 2020. The event will start at 8pm. The room will launch at 7:45pm for networking. To join, please purchase our Tasting Set or Full Bottle Set at our website. If you have any issues, please whatsapp +65 8855 0073.
