Juyondai

Juyondai sake is a highly esteemed brand, celebrated for its unique and exceptional quality. Many who have tried it believe that it redefines what Japanese sake can be. The Takagi Shuzo brewery, established in 1615 in Yamagata Prefecture, has a rich history spanning over 400 years. The name "Juyondai," meaning "Fourteenth Generation," was chosen to honor the 14th head brewer of the family-run brewery.

Today, the 15th generation, led by Akitsuna Takagi, continues the family legacy with a modern twist, creating sake that stands out from the traditional light and dry varieties. Juyondai’s remarkable flavors have earned it a reputation as one of the finest sakes available, enjoyed by discerning customers and recognized by prominent media outlets.

Although the brewery produces several other brands, Juyondai remains the most revered.
