Naeba Sake Brewery was founded in 1907 in Tsunan Town, Nakauonuma District, Niigata Prefecture, and is a representative local sake brewery that has been enjoyed mainly in the Uonuma region for over 100 years. .

Tsunan Town is one of the heaviest snowfall areas in Japan, with the entire warehouse completely covered in snow in the winter. Naeba Sake Brewery's brewing techniques have been passed down by the Echigo brewers, who are proud of their skill and tradition, using the prefecture's best sake rice, Gohyakumangoku.

Using local water, rice, and the techniques of our Echigo brewers, we will continue to brew sake that you will not get tired of drinking, with the flavor of rice that is unique to sake.

  1. Naeba Mizen Junmai Ginjo

    A good balance of gorgeousness, sweetness, and flavor.
    The first impression of the scent is gorgeous, plump and mellow. You can feel the fruit aromas of ripe apples, pears, and white peach, and the sweet ginjo aroma of acacia honey. The acidity is smooth and balanced with the sweetness.

    You can also feel the subtle rice aroma of joshinko and shiratama dango, as well as the aroma of sour cream. The aftertaste is slightly long and the flavor persists.

    It pairs well with strongly seasoned simmered or stir-fried dishes, and is recommended to be drunk well chilled at around 6-8 degrees Celsius.

  2. Naeba Mizen Junmai Daiginjo

    A crisp Junmai Daiginjo with a harmonious blend of fruit aroma and refined sweetness. The first impression of the scent is youthful and gorgeous. It has aromas of pear, white peach, and acacia flowers.
    It also smells like cooked rice and freshly made mochi, with a slight mineral scent of lime.

    The acidity is gentle and not overpowering. The aftertaste is slightly short and crisp.

    Pairing goes well with plain white sashimi or blue fish seasoned with vinegar, and it is recommended to drink it at a temperature of around 12-15 degrees Celsius.
