Description

This sake has a beautiful Nashi Pear fragrance, soft and clean touch on the palate. Medium body and a dry, crisp finish. Made from 100% Yamadanishiki and famous Fushimizu water from Kyoto. Recommended drunk chilled.

This Junmai Daiginjo is the only sake that has won 14 consecutive gold medals at the Japan New Sake Award. A sake drinker I know described this sake as reminiscent of a first love.

Love the Eikun

Superbly smooth with a gentle tinge of melon sweetness. Definitely one of the greats. Will return for more!

Rich, complex, and soft mouth-feel. Great sake

Appearance: Clear, pale, lemon-green appearance with viscosity observed. Nose: Sake has clean nose, pronounced medium (+) intensity with notes of Ginjo (pear, melon, banana, apple), fruity/floral (pear skin, banana skin, apple skin), and lactic/dairy (custard, cream). Palate: Sake is off-dry, with medium (+) umami and acidity, medium level of perceived alcohol, medium (+) body with creamy texture and medium (+) flavour intensity with notes of Ginjo (pear, melon, banana, apple), fruity/floral (pear skin, banana skin, apple skin), and lactic/dairy (custard, cream). Sake has a medium (+) finish length with notes of Ginjo and bitterness of pear/apple skin as aftertaste. Remarks: Rich, complex, and soft mouth-feel. Great sake though.

Elegant & Refined

Elegant fruity aroma but distinctive of pear fragrance on the nose. It has a refined and silky smooth texture on the palate. And ends with clean and crisp finishing. Well balance, elegant and refined character sake!
