1. Share with us more about Amabuki Shuzo

W.H: Amabuki Shuzo was founded in 1688 in Saga Prefecture. With over three centuries of heritage, we marry pure Mount Sefuri water and carefully chosen rice—including Omachi from Okayama—with our signature flower yeasts to create unique sake.

2. Why do you use flower yeast?

W.H: We use flower yeast because it imparts natural, distinctive aromas. Each yeast, from sunflowers to strawberries, gives our sake its signature character.

3. Can the public visit Amabuki Shuzo?

W.H: Yes, the public can visit Amabuki Shuzo. We welcome visitors by appointment to experience our history and craftsmanship firsthand.

4. Out of the 5 selected sakes (Sunflower, Strawberry, Koisuruharuno, Junmai Daiginjo 50 and Banana), which Amabuki sake would you most recommend trying?

W.H: Among the five sakes, I would recommend trying Amabuki Junmai Daiginjo 50 for its elegance. That said, each flower yeast sake has its charm, so I encourage signing up for Nomi-Kai 69 to explore them all.
